Accedence Approach

At Accedence Counseling, we understand what it feels like to hit a wall in life. You may feel stuck, unsure of how to move forward, but we’re here to help you find your way. Whether you need to move around, over, or through life’s obstacles, our therapists are dedicated to helping you discover the options that work best for you.

Self Discovery

You will have time in therapy to just be. Share what is happening with you today or when you were 5. We will hold space and allow time for you get into a groove with your therapist. In this time, your therapist will work with you to define your goals

Creating Your Path

You will learn to create new options to handle life with the education and space in therapy to process your life to date. Your path will start internally through new ways to view life that allow room to do things differently. 

Assess and Observe

Your therapy will include assignments to complete between sessions. Internal work assignments are used to enhance self understanding and how to communicate what you have learned. External work assignments are used to gain new experiences and use your new skills in controlled environments that you are comfortable with trying.

Using Your Journey

You have lived a life full of experiences that shape how you view the world. While you may have trauma responses, anxiety or anger issues, we focus on helping you heal the version of you that did not have the support that you have now.

Charting Your Territory

Learning who you are and why you are help you determine what you want to do differently. You will also learn how to increase confidence and prioritize this new direction. This may include learning to set boundaries and build self validation. 

Celebrate Success

Congratulations!! You are reading about getting support for your life. This is a big step and we celebrate all successes. Anytime you are agreeing to go further than you did before or communicate your need for additional support will be acknowledged. You are doing the work!
